1. Child Care & Preschool
Hand-In-Hand’s childcare and preschool environment is more than care – it’s a nurturing place where children of all abilities grow, explore, and learn together. 2. School-Age Programs & Teens with Purpose
For kids aged 5–18, Hand-In-Hand keeps the fun going with:
- After-School Care: Engaging activities like games, arts, and outdoor exploration.
- School-Out Days & Summer Programs: Full-day experiences that include creative projects, field trips, water play, and more.
Plus, Teens with Purpose serves teens (16+) in a thoughtful, goal-oriented setting:

- Blends purposeful fun with skill-building that supports the transition toward independence.
3. Evening & Weekend Recreation Programs
Life doesn’t stop when school’s out—and neither does Hand-In-Hand! Their fun-filled evening and weekend programs cater to participants ages 5 through adulthood, offering:
- Adaptive sports like basketball, hiking, swimming, and the “Can Play!” initiative.
- Creative outlets including arts, music, and cooking.
- Social mixers such as movie nights, crafts, and seasonal celebrations.
These programs support social growth, independence, and offer much-needed respite to families.
4. People with Purpose (Day Program for Adults)
For adults (18+), People with Purpose is a vibrant program centered on social engagement, volunteering, and life skills development. Participants choose activities, connect with the community, and grow—driven by their interests and goals.
5. Camp Hand-In-Hand (Summer Day Camp)
What started as a small, one-week dream in 2000 has blossomed into a staple of summertime joy: a two-week accessible summer camp welcoming around 70 campers each July (with sibling and friend support!). Activities include archery, canoeing, fishing, arts and crafts, swimming, horseback riding—and, most importantly, friendships. Each camper is paired with a trained buddy or staff member who helps them fully engage in the experience.
