GiGi’s Playhouse is the only network of Down Syndrome Achievement Centers worldwide, providing vital therapeutic, educational, and career development programs at absolutely no cost to families. Located in Moline, IL, this Playhouse serves the entire Quad Cities bringing together local families with a supportive environment and meaningful, purpose-driven programming.
Their mission is heartfelt: change perceptions and nurture acceptance through free, evidence-based programs that foster confidence, learning, and lifelong potential.
Transformative Programs & Impact
GiGi’s Playhouse offers a diverse, inclusive array of services and opportunities:
- One-on-One Tutoring: Literacy, math, speech and language programs help individuals gain academic and communication skills.
- Career Development & Therapeutic Activities: Enrichment through fitness (GiGiFIT), social skills (GiGi’s Kitchen), and creative tools that are all building independence and empowerment.

Since opening in 2011 as the eighth Playhouse in the network, the Quad Cities location has grown from serving just 50 families to supporting around 200 (and counting) demonstrating the vital need and impact of its mission locally.
